Terms of service

What the service does

Cosmic Social generates social media posts for the clients you manage, puts them through a review step, lets a person approve them, and publishes them to the accounts you have connected. It also reports on what was published and how it performed.

The posts are written by an AI model. It can be wrong, and it can produce something that reads well and is not true. Approval exists so that a person decides what goes out under your clients’ names. You are responsible for what is published from your account, whether or not you read it first.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract.
• Give us accurate details and keep your login credentials to yourself.
• You are responsible for everyone you invite, including approvers at your clients, and for what they do with the access you give them.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.

Your clients' accounts

When you connect a social account you are telling us you have that business’s permission to post on their behalf. You must have it. If that permission ends, disconnect the account.

You must also follow the rules of the platforms you publish to — Meta, LinkedIn and any others — including their policies on automated posting, advertising and disclosure. A platform can suspend an account for breaking its rules, and we cannot get it back for you.

Acceptable use

You may not use Cosmic Social to:

• publish anything unlawful, defamatory, deceptive or infringing;
• impersonate a person or business you are not authorised to represent;
• post content you know to be false about products, services or people;
• send spam, or publish at a volume intended to evade platform limits;
• reverse engineer the service, resell access to it as your own product, or use it to build a competing one;
• attempt to reach another customer’s data.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, immediately where the harm is serious.

Plans, trials and payment

• Plans are billed in advance, monthly, through Stripe. Prices are on the pricing page.
• Trials run for the period stated when you start one. Where a trial requires a card, it converts to a paid plan at the end unless you cancel first.
• You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months except where the law requires it.
• If a payment fails we may pause posting for your account after a grace period.
• We will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app before a price rises.

Who owns what

You keep ownership of everything you put in: your client information, your edits, and the posts published from your account. You grant us the licence we need to host that content, send it to the AI provider to generate copy, and publish it where you tell us to.

We keep ownership of Cosmic Social itself — the software, the prompts, the interface and the brand. Nothing here transfers that to you.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We depend on other companies — hosting, AI, the social platforms — and their outages become ours. Scheduled posts may be delayed or fail as a result, and a post that fails is not republished automatically unless we can confirm it never went out.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from content published from your account, from your use of a social account you were not authorised to post to, or from your breach of these terms.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We can end or suspend it if you break these terms, if payment fails and stays unpaid, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any period paid for in advance. After closure we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts of Wisconsin have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. For a material change we will tell you in the app at least 30 days beforehand, and continuing to use Cosmic Social after that means you accept the new version.
